We will drive you there!
From exclusive sophistication to rustic charm, heres's our wraparound guide of Mallorca's most uplifting and enjoyable beach clubs in Palma and all around the island's coastline.
Most serve food, some exceptionally good food, while others stick to simple snacks and chilled drinks. You will always find a cocktail and above all, seafront chill out areas to relax on the beach. This is Ibiza slowly influencing the island, for the best. Whereas Mallorca excells at many things, the beach cafe and restaurant concept is relatively new, but is gaining ground, and becoming more and more popular. The setting is unique, mediterranean colours and warmth, friendly staff, great tunes and fresh natural products.
For a tour of the island, nothing spells magical holidays like spending your days on the beach, with a funky beach bar at hand.
Luxury beach club, famed for its party scene and spectacular location on Calvia's exquisite white beach, Nikki Beach is a global brand, now present half way across the world, and features plush white sunbeds round the pool and beauty treatments, excellent dining in its award winning restaurant, globally reknowned DJs, live entertainment and special events.
The place to be on a hot summer's evening in the capital. Sea views, bar on the terrace with resident DJs, rooftop chill-out, spa & wellness treatments, fashion and accessories shop, yoga lessons, pool and sunbeds, brunch and global fusion cuisine make up the full Puro experience, now modelled over and over, everywhere. Located in Cala Estancia, 8km from Palma city centre and 5km from Palma de Mallorca airport.
German run beach club set on the sandy beach with spectacular views of Palma Cathedral, Nassau beach Club is as sophisticated as it is magical. There is a high end restaurant serving delicious asian/mediterranean cuisine, relaxed seating on the terrace and beach, silent concerts where the audience wears headphones, and a general mindful atmosphere.
Beach Club Gran Folies is one of Mallorca's oldest beach clubs, it has been running for 40 years, and is located on the magnificent enclosed beach of Cala Llamp, in Port d'Andratx. Though a veteran, the club has remained at the top of its game and offers a variety of zones distributed along the rocky cliff; restaurant, salt water swimming pool, sunbed solarium and cocktails, and for a more relaxed feel, there is also a beach cafe on the sand.
There is a laid back summery feel to this beach shack in Palma Nova (Calvia), but all is not what it seems. Though prices can seem high to some, the quality and presentation of the dishes is exceptional, partcularly the fish and seafood: not at all as rustic as it may appear. Feet in the sand nevertheless and spectacular seaviews, this is everything and all you need on a hot August day in Mallorca.
Walk down a set of stone steps from the town of Puerto Portals Nou, or along the beach at the bottom, and you come to Roxy Beach, beach shack, meeting point for locals and those in the know, an institution here, serving sangria and all day snacks, and for those arriving by sea, there's a tender service for boats.
Located on the rocky edge of the Magaluf coast, the last place the sun goes down, is this recent edition to the beach club scene - The Barracuda Beach Bar, offering sunloungers, healthy breakfasts and meals, DJ's, water sports and of course, great summer cocktails.
Playa de Muro's best beach bar, Ponderosa beach is a little bit of everything: restaurant, beach shack, chill out zone, meeting place. It is involved in social projects, here and abroad and has a clean eco spirit... along with a fabulous menu, exquisite sea views and resident DJs. Its summer parties and events are known across the island and by day, it is the more glamorous of the beach cafes on this otherwise virgin length of sand beyond Alcudia.
Restaurant and cocktail bar on the magnificent Playa de Muro beach, the Royal Beach Gastrosenses boasts a menu designed by Michellin star chef Andreu Genestra, new revamped interiors and kitchen, bang on the sandy beach. There are 3 different terraces looking out to sea and live music concerts every week. If you are looking for somewhere gorgeous to host a special event this might be the place.
The local Mallorcan's favourite Playa de Muro beach bar, low-key and relaxed, great paellas, friendly and fun staff and the most stunning location, on the sand, with just sea infront of you, just perfect at any time of day.
Puerto Pollensa's best beach cafe, more hippy shack than beach club, la Roca is back again this year after a year of inactivity. They serve great burgers and cocktails all day and late into the night, with regular live music acts on the far end of Puerto Pollensa, at the start of Llenaire beach.
Bar Cala Torta
Cala Torta is one of Mallorca's most best kept secrets, a long expanse of fine white sandy beach near Arta, no sunloungers, and no loos either. As you can see, there is no link, no website, no facebook page either. The small beach hut, by the same name serves platters of fresh fish cooked that day and drinks. There is no entertainment as such, this is not a party beach, first come first serve and getting here requires some walking, but if you're looking for remote Mallorca, you've come to the right place.
Son Serra de Marina is Mallorca's top surfing spot, the wind is strongest here on the eastern Llevant coast and the long virgin beaches are remote and untouched. And let's face it, surfer's do flock to the coolest places, and create the coolest bars. El Sol Sunshine Bar is just that; groovy chill out tunes, spectacular setting and simple dishes at reasonable prices, and unbelievably for Mallorca, not only are they open all day but they open all year round too.
Cala Nau between Porto Colon and Cala D'Or is a small cove in an inlet with cristalline water and sandy beach. The Cala Sa Nau "chiringuito", Spanish for beach shack is laid back and great value for money, serving drinks, snacks, paellas and grilled fish, and with DJs and live music in the evenings.
